Key Stage 1

Key stage 1 fits broadly with the first stage of primary education, often known as infant schools. Key stage 1 is a part of National Curriculum. It covers children between the ages of 5 and 7 in years 1 and 2

We teach two subjects at the KS1 level

  • English
  • Math

Assessment in Key Stage 1

The test taken at the end of KS1 are:

  • English Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling
  • Reading
  • Mathematics (Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication & Division)

How we prepare

  • We prepare our students according to the national curriculum
  • Weekly progress report
  • Every lesson we make sure students do all the exam tasks such as, Spelling Test, Reading, Grammar and Creative Writing.

At the end of year 2, children will sit their SATs (Standardised assessment tasks), which are national test. We focus and aim is to prepare them for SATs.
